Privacy policy

What we collect when you use Acquire Aero, why, who sees it and the choices you have. In plain terms, with nothing hidden in the small print.

01Who we are

Acquire Aero helps buyers compare private aircraft and buy one, through our in-house brokerage or a partner brokerage. We are based in Miami, Florida. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Acquire Aero, and “you” means anyone who visits the site or sends us an enquiry.

We are responsible for the personal information described here. If you have a question about it, or want to use any of the rights set out below, see how to contact us.

02What we collect

Most of the site works without telling us anything about you. Browsing aircraft, filtering, comparing models and using the charter calculator all happen in your browser, and we don’t ask who you are.

When you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter in the form:

  • Your trip and needs: typical passengers, typical trip, how you’ll use the aircraft and where it will be based.
  • Your plans: new or pre-owned, budget band, timing and any models you’re interested in.
  • Your details: name, email address, country, how you’d like us to reach you and, if you choose a call, your phone number and a convenient time.
  • Anything else you tell us in the optional note.

With your enquiry we also keep a short note of how you found the site: the page you first arrived on, the website that linked you to us (if any) and any campaign tags in the link you followed. This tells us which articles and links bring people to us. It doesn’t identify you on its own.

To stop automated spam, we check each enquiry with Cloudflare Turnstile and limit how many enquiries can be sent from one connection in an hour. For that limit we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, not the address itself, and we don’t store your IP address with your enquiry.

Like every website, our hosting provider receives the technical information your browser sends when it loads a page, such as your IP address and browser type, and keeps it briefly in its logs to run and protect the service.

03How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare figures for your home base and the aircraft you’re considering, and keep in touch about it in the way you asked us to.
  • If you decide to go ahead, to handle your purchase through our in-house brokerage, or to introduce you to the partner brokerage best placed to help (see who we share it with).
  • To keep a record of enquiries and any purchase that follows, as any business must.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which pages and links bring people to us, so we can improve the site.
  • To protect the site and the enquiry form from spam and abuse.

We don’t sell your information or use it to advertise to you, and we don’t make decisions about you by automated means.

05Who we share it with

Your enquiry is read by us at Acquire Aero, and we reply to every enquiry ourselves.

When you’re ready to buy, we usually handle the purchase ourselves through our in-house brokerage, so your details stay with Acquire Aero. When an independent partner brokerage is better placed for that aircraft or market, we tell you which one and why, and pass on your details only with your agreement and only what it needs to help you. Our routing policy explains how that choice is made.

We also use a small number of service providers to run the site and handle enquiries. They process information on our behalf and only for that purpose:

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Supabase stores enquiries in our database.
  • Resend delivers the email that tells us about a new enquiry, and any email we send you about it.
  • Cloudflare runs the Turnstile check on the enquiry form.
  • Sanity hosts the articles on our blog; it doesn’t receive your enquiry.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

06International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may store or process information in the United States or other countries. Where your information moves out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on our providers’ recognized safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

07How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to help you and to keep a record of any purchase that follows, and for any longer period the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner (see your rights).

The scrambled IP addresses used to limit repeat submissions serve no other purpose and are not linked to your enquiry.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it, or to delete it;
  • object to or restrict how we use it;
  • ask for it in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent to be contacted, at any time.

Residents of some US states, including California, have similar rights to know, correct and delete. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To use any of these rights, contact us. We’ll reply within the time the law sets and won’t treat you differently for asking. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom.

09Cookies and browser storage

The site keeps a few small items in your own browser, such as your compare list and last search, so it works the way you’d expect. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Our cookie policy lists each one and how to clear them.

10Security

Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in a database that only our team can reach, behind a sign-in. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect yours and to limit who can see it.

11Children

The site is for adults considering an aircraft purchase. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

12Changes to this policy

If we change how we use information, for example by adding a new analytics tool, we’ll update this policy and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

13How to contact us

For anything about your information, reply to any email we’ve sent you, or send us a message through the enquiry form and mention it in the note. We will reply personally.
